Upon successfully completing your APCA Advanced Diploma program, and gaining a minimum of 12 months work experience in Malaysia, GeSS Education will work to find you a suitable employer in Australia within the hospitality sector, under Australia Quality Frameworks (AQF) Certificates and Skills Training to students within Malaysia for the following course – SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.

It allows APCA students to obtain Australian vocational qualifications that are globally respected, opening doors to employment opportunities in Australia’s flourishing hospitality industry through skilled migration programs such as the 407 and 482 visas. Strategically designed at the crossroads of education, skill development, and international workforce readiness, this initiative not only helps meet Australia’s growing need for qualified culinary professionals but also highlights Malaysia’s role as a leading centre for exceptional hospitality training.

Requirements:
• Successful completition of High School at Year 12 or equivalent
• Completed Advanced Diploma program at APCA Malaysia, age 21-38
• IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of verified work experience as a qualified Coof or Chef (Enable 482 VIsa) OR minimum 1 year of verified work experience as a qualified Cook or Chef (Enable 407 Visa)
• Agree to undertake Skills Assessment Test as per Australian Department of Home Affairs requirements for Chef or Cook positions (if required)

Duration: A year
Accommodation: Hostel or dorm (on sharing basis)
Cost: 20,000 AUD (*approximately cost needed for documentations, flight, visa etc)
