Graduates can pursue careers in leading hotels, fine-dining restaurants, boutique pastry shops, patisseries, and artisan bakeries—both locally and internationally.

Many also choose to become entrepreneurs, launching their own food ventures, cafés, or patisseries. With APCA’s global network and industry-ready training, you’ll be equipped to succeed as a professional chef or culinary business owner.

Yes, we offer online learning through our dedicated platform, APCA Chef Online.

It’s ideal for those who are not based in Malaysia or can’t commit to full-time or short-term on-campus programs. With a wide range of pastry and culinary topics, the platform is perfect for working professionals looking to upskill or hobbyists exploring their passion.

Additionally, all Advanced Diploma students receive 1-year complimentary access to APCA Chef Online upon completing their 9-month program—enabling continuous learning anytime, anywhere.

All classes are conducted in English, as it is the primary language of instruction. However, our chefs are also able to assist in Chinese or Malay when needed, to ensure every student fully understands the lessons and techniques.

Yes, there is an additional cost for international paid internships, and the requirements may vary depending on the country.

In general, students must:

  • Be between 18–35 years old
  • Have successfully completed an APCA Advanced Diploma program

Each destination (e.g., France, Spain, Italy, Australia, Maldives, Mauritius) has its own visa, documentation, and fee structures, which will be explained during the internship briefing session.

All classes are fully hands-on, allowing students to learn by doing—from day one. Whether you're just starting out or looking to build a solid foundation, our intensive courses are designed to guide you under the mentorship of professional chefs.

The Dual Program combines both the Advanced Diploma in Pastry and Bakery Arts and the Advanced Diploma in Culinary Arts into one comprehensive 16-month course.

In addition to mastering both disciplines, students also receive training in Chef Entrepreneurship and Business Studies—essential for those aiming to start their own ventures.

Graduates of the Dual Program are also encouraged to pursue optional paid internships abroad, gaining valuable global exposure right after completing their studies.

Currently, we do not assist with visa processing for international students enrolling in the full-time Advanced Diploma programs. However, international students are welcome to join our hands-on Intensive Programs or learn through our APCA Chef Online platform.

Full-time classes run from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. Students can expect a dynamic, hands-on schedule focused on practical training, skill development, and real-world kitchen experience—designed to mirror professional industry standards.

At APCA Malaysia, we believe in learning by doing.

Our classes are kept small, with a maximum of 14 students per class, ensuring personalized attention from our world-class chefs. Each session begins with a step-by-step chef demonstration, followed by students replicating the techniques themselves.

Beyond just making a product, students gain a deep understanding of technique, technology, ingredient science, and product development. Those with extra time are encouraged to practice further, sharpening their skills and mastering their craft with every session—true to APCA’s promise of hands-on excellence.
